"All of my paintings have been created in my Northamptonshire studio in oils on a rigid support. A grisaille underpainting was painted first in a traditional style before colour was added.
Inspired by Peaky Blinders, every detail has been carefully considered, from the genuine antique blue glass poison bottle to the reconstructed revolver. Even the time on the pocket watch is significant for a true Peaky Blinders fan.
The 3D model of Tommy's Webley Service revolver was created from scratch and then printed on a 3D printer. With a lot of sanding and a little paint the gun was ready for the still life.
The gin labels were recreated based on screen shots. These were then affixed to a screen accurate glass bottle. The packet of cigarettes was recreated from scans of genuine vintage item."
